Bridging the Gap: Creative Illusion's Path to Success
Andrea Marchetto has spent a significant portion of his life immersed in the world of creativity. From a young age, he dedicated countless hours to freehand drawing, even resorting to writing on the inside of his desk drawers when he ran out of paper! Growing up in the 1990s, he witnessed the rapid development of technology, as personal computers and wired internet connections became increasingly common in households. The technological advancements of that era profoundly influenced his approach to creativity, opening up new opportunities and fostering a growing passion for technology. After earning a degree in computer science, he decided to explore the world of 3D visualization, considering it the ideal fusion of his passions.
Andrea began his career at an architectural firm, where he specialized in creating 3D projects for architectural visualization, transforming designers’ ideas into tangible projects. Subsequently, he expanded his skills by working at a photography studio, where he focused on creating photorealistic renderings for catalogs and post-production of images, essential for the creation of successful promotional material.
Thanks to his innate curiosity and determination to break conventional molds, Andrea embarked on the path of freelancing, thus giving life to Creative Illusion. His constant search for improvement and professional growth is a significant part of his success.
When first contacting a new client, all the necessary information is requested to be able to draw up a detailed quote. From a practical standpoint, AutoCAD or PDF floor plans might be necessary in the case of architectural renderings; if it’s a matter of creating objects through 3D modeling, photographic references and possibly dimensioned drawings are essential to have a clear understanding of the final proportions.
The studio adopts a consistently conversational approach with the client, aiming to establish a relationship that allows the latter to be part of the project. During this phase, ideas and reflections are sent to achieve the desired results. A crucial moment is the briefing, during which the work of others and photographic references found online are also analyzed. This process is fundamental to have a clear understanding of the client’s expectations.
Normally, once the quote is accepted, a 30% deposit is requested at the beginning of the project to cover any potential expenses, especially if the project is complex and requires a long time to complete.
